Check-In and Check-Out
- What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in hours are from 3 PM to 12 AM, while check-out is by 10 AM.
Our facility features a tablet-based self-check-in system, allowing you to check in even when staff are not on site.
- Is it possible to store my luggage prior to check-in?

Yes, you can store your luggage starting at 9 AM on the day of check-in. Please ask the staff on the 1st floor for assistance. If you plan to return after 6:00 PM, please let us know in advance.
Please note that you may be directed to the luggage room on the second floor, so please allow extra time in your schedule.
If you intend to send your luggage to our facility, please contact us prior to shipping.
*Packages sent without prior notice cannot be accepted.Our package reception hours are from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Please be aware that we do not accept cash-on-delivery shipments.
- Is it possible to store my luggage after check-out?

Yes, you can store your luggage after check-out at the co-working space on the 1st floor.
Storage hours are from 9 AM to 6 PM. Please ensure to collect your luggage by 6 PM, as staff will not be available after that time.
- How do I check in?

Our facility uses self-check-in via tablet, and you will need a key number to enter the building and your room.
Please make sure to check the information in the email we send you in advance before checking in.■ Check-in Process
The day before check-in, we will send you an email titled "Entrance and Check-in Instructions," which will include your check-in code. Please make sure to read it carefully.
【Check-in Method】
① Enter the check-in code on the tablet or scan the QR code
② Enter guest information
(It will be smoother if you enter your information in advance. A URL will be provided in the email sent the day before, so please check it.)
③ Your room number and key number will be displayed
*It is recommended to take a photo, as you will not be able to enter the room without the key number.
The key number displayed after check-in can be used for all doors throughout your stay.The key number will be available as follows:
Until 18:00: Entrance on the temple street side, parking lot side entrance
After 18:00: Parking lot side entrance
There is an entrance at the back of the parking lot next to "Ikeuchi Denki" store. The check-in tablet is located inside the wooden box next to the entrance.
*Check-In Procedure Outside Business Hours※Staff are available until 18:00, so if you need assistance, please feel free to ask.
- Can I use the co-working space before or after check-in

Yes, you can. The co-working space is available for free from 9 AM on the check-in day until 6 PM on the check-out day. Guests do not need to register for co-working space membership.
- Are there any curfews?

There are no curfews after check-in. You can enter and exit through the 24-hour entrance.
Please note that the facility does not have soundproofing, so we kindly ask you to keep noise to a minimum during late-night or early morning entries and exits.
- Can I check in before 3 PM?

Room cleaning occurs between 10 AM and 3 PM. You can check in as soon as your room is ready.
About the Hotel
- How many guests can stay?

We offer accommodations for up to 22guests, including one flat bed twin room, 4 twin rooms, two single rooms, and one 10-bed dormitory room.

- What is a dormitory room like?

The dormitory room is a shared room with a capacity of 10 people, separated into upper and lower bunks, and is a mixed-gender room.
If you have concerns about climbing the ladder to the upper bunk, we recommend using the lower bunk.
The lower bunk is larger and offers a more semi-private space, so the price is different between the upper and lower bunks.To ensure a comfortable stay in the dormitory room, please respect and be considerate of other guests.
For large luggage such as suitcases, please use the luggage space. - Can I make a reservation by phone?

Unfortunately, we do not accept phone reservations. Please make your booking and payment through our online reservation page.
- Can I stay with children?

Unfortunately, our facility does not allow children under elementary school age (even if accompanied by a guardian).
For guests under 18 years old (including high school students), you can stay without a guardian by submitting a parental consent form by 12:00 PM the day before check-in.

- Is smoking allowed?

Our facility is entirely non-smoking, and there are no designated smoking areas. Additionally, for fire safety reasons, we prohibit the disposal of cigarette butts in any trash bins within the facility.
- What type of accommodation is Kotori Kotohira?

Kotori Kotohira is a hostel offering simple, room-only stays without amenities. Please note that our facilities differ from traditional hotels.
Our rooms are not soundproof, so we ask that you be considerate of other guests, especially at night and early morning. Shared facilities include shower rooms, toilets, sinks, a kitchen, refrigerator, and television.
There is no elevator. The stairs are quite steep, so please be particularly cautious if you have large luggage.
- Is there parking available?

We do not have parking at our facility. We kindly ask that you use the nearby coin parking options.
- Is there parking available for motorcycles or bicycles?

Our facility does not have a designated parking area for motorcycles or bicycles.
There is limited indoor space available for bicycle parking, but it is only accessible during staff working hours, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. If you wish to park indoors, please contact us in advance, as space is limited.
Motorcycles can be parked at the adjacent parking lot for 300 yen per day.
- Are there washing machines available?

We have 3 washing machines and 3 dryers available.
Laundry detergent is sold for 100 yen per pack. - Can I eat and drink in the rooms?

Eating and drinking are allowed in the single and twin private rooms.
In the dormitory room, eating is not permitted, and only bottled drinks are allowed. For meals, please use the 1st floor.
- Are there staff on-site?

Yes, our staff is on-site from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The community manager is available to assist with your stay and travel planning, so feel free to reach out.
Please note that there are no staff members on-site from 6:00 PM to 9:00 AM. For inquiries during these hours, please call the emergency contact number provided after you make your reservation.
About the Coworking Space

Phone Calls
While phone calls are allowed within the facility, please use earphones in open seating areas as calls on speaker is not permitted. We kindly ask that you consider the volume, content, and duration of your calls to respect other users. You can enjoy using a speakerphone in the meeting rooms, which offer a more private space for your conversations. Feel free to take advantage of this option! - Can I bring guests to the coworking space during my stay?

Yes, non-registered guests can use the coworking space for a fee of 1,500 yen from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
